RYA Training Centre

Metropolitan College’s Maritime Academy has been recognized as a RYA training centre and offers yacht training programmes. The programmes include both theory and practice, covering the entire scope of safe yacht handling and navigation. They are designed for professional seafarers, who wish to develop their skills and broaden their professional horizons.

RYA qualifications, in particular the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Yachtmaster Ocean Certificates of Competence, are recognized and respected around the world. Qualification as a RYA Yachtmaster is the ultimate aim of many skippers, both professional and recreational.

Following the completion of specific RYA programmes, Metropolitan College offers certificate holders the unique opportunity (in Greece) to attend training programmes leading to a Certificate of Competency, directly issued by MCA.

Powerboat programmes are addressing to those wanting to drive small open powerboats such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats), sports boats and small launches. The programmes target both professionals, who may be operating powerboats as part of their job, and recreational skippers, who wish to train in safe Powerboat handling and navigation.
