Yacht Interior Specialist
The professionalism and level of expertise of the interior crew are of major significance for the successful delivery of the outstanding and flawless service requested from the highly demanding clientele of the superyacht industry. The YACHT INTERIOR SPECIALIST training programme aims to provide participants with an exceptional skillset, which combines principles of silver-star service and basic equipment handling with advanced services that can be offered upon demand aboard a superyacht. Upon successful completion of the programme, the Interior Specialists will set apart from stewards and have a head start in the industry.

G.U.E.S.T./Junior Steward CoC
The G.U.E.S.T. programme is the only Internationally Accredited Maritime Hospitality & Service Training and Certification Programme available to Crew working in the Luxury Super Yacht sector. It has been designed to inspire, support and further careers for current and future Stewards and Stewardesses working in the luxury Super Yacht sector, and is recognized, supported and endorsed by major Superyacht Associations of the industry. G.U.E.S.T. Program is considered as the global interior crew training standard and is accredited by the International Association of Maritime Institutions.
Metropolitan College’s Superyacht Academy offers the G.U.E.S.T. 1 (Introduction level) training programme. The programme provides a solid introduction to the role of an interior crew member on board of a Super Yacht. The Introduction training platform teaches the basic skills required to ensure that when a steward/ess takes his/her position, he/she is bringing some relevant skills and value to the job.

Upon completion of the programme, participants will be able to comprehend the basic principles for high-quality service offering in the Superyacht industry. In order to fully support Superyacht Steward Training, Metropolitan College has created a special Hospitality Centre, which includes a Room Simulator, Bar Simulator, Kitchen Facilities and Fine Dining Simulation.

The YACHT CHEF training programme is suitable for land chefs who wish to pursue a career in the yachting industry. The programme aims to provide participants with the necessary skills required to meet the challenges of a Chef position aboard a superyacht, such as delivery of well-presented and varied dishes, ability to develop a large repertoire of recipe ideas and execute them with confidence, creative thinking, effective space and provision management, etc.

Deck Hand

Deck Hand
All crew members aboard a superyacht must abide to the same principles of professionalism and dedication to excellence; deck hands are no exception. A deckhand’s duties include keeping all yacht equipment clean and properly maintained, providing navigational support, assisting in docking procedures and in guest services if requested.
The Deck Hand training programme aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to meet up to the standards of their position, and to broaden their mindset so as to be able to think out of the box and to understand the importance of work ethic and positive attitude when pursuing their career on board.
