SUPERYACHT ACADEMY

Training programmes for Superyacht Crew

The Superyacht Industry is fascinating to work in but the requirements for future professionals are many in order to meet the clientele’s demands. Either you aim at a crew or at an officer position on board a yacht, Metropolitan College Superyacht Academy is the starting point for your yachting career. The purpose of all introductory programmes is to create a deep understanding of how the yachting industry works and which are its main principles and attitudes depending on the position.

Deck Hand

All crew members aboard a superyacht must abide to the same principles of professionalism and dedication to excellence; deck hands are no exception. A deckhand’s duties include keeping all yacht equipment clean and properly maintained, providing navigational support, assisting in docking procedures and in guest services if requested.

The Deck Hand training programme aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to meet up to the standards of their position, and to broaden their mindset so as to be able to think out of the box and to understand the importance of  work ethic and positive attitude when pursuing their career on board.
